EasiYo and Kellogg’s Breakfast Toppers

This is a fantastic combination. This was my lunch today, I am busy doing an assignment and felt my energy start to wane from hunger but now my body is fuelled and ready to go again.

Potato Smiles

YUMMY! for kids AND mama 😉

These are the perfect way to get some extra veggies into my fussy little 3 year old Ali.

Adding some grated carrot, some peas, some extra sneaky veg is always a great extra inside these too. Ali is at that fussy stage of loving a food one day but hating it the next. The WORST stage of toddlerhood. It seriously drives me crazy. He’s loving chick peas at the moment so i’m making so many different tagines with them in while I can, last month he hated chick peas so we were unable to use them. He would flat out refuse to eat the meal if he noticed that chick peas were cooked with it too.

Ingredients

  • 6 potatoes

  • 9 tbsp of cornstarch (cornflour)

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 2 eggs

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Cooking oil

Method

  1. Cook the potatoes in small cubes in salted water.
  2. Smash up the potatoes (plus other veg if using) and add all other ingredients.
  3. Spread the dough on a floured surface to 1 cm thick, form circles and eyes with a straw, and use a spoon for the mouth.
  4. Fry in hot oil until golden.
  5. Serve with a small salad (if they eat that) 😉 and some sauce for dipping

If you make them please let me know what you think!

EasiYo trial from Social Soup

#EasyAsEasiYo Can't get any easier than EasiYo to make homemade yoghurt!

The kids and I are SO EXCITED that Social Soup chose us amongst many other families to trial and review the EasiYo system to make real, fresh yoghurt in our own home.

I have used EasiYo before, it’s luscious seriously! it’s a pot set yoghurt and is everything as good as what you would buy in the fridge section in stores.

I love the great range of flavours and their website has a great number of interesting recipes to mix it up. No more eating yoghurt from the tub here, I’m gonna get FREAKY 😛

The very first recipe i’m going to make is Ambrosia – *Sighs* I love that stuff. I’ll be sure to upload photos here when i’ve made it.

He’s super excited that mama was able to buy a pile of other flavours too. BUT he wants the Strawberry one first so that’s happily sitting and thickening for our breaky tomorrow

And Mr Elias putting the lid on (no hot water yet lol) mama is a helicopter parent hehe

So now we wait !!

Leave it for 8-12 hours and you’ll have thick yoghurt. #EasyAsEasiYo

I have a new addiction – COCONUT CHIPS !

It’s no secret in our house that I love everything COCONUT! Coconut water, coconut milk, shredded, desiccated omg everything coconut I adore ❤

I was at the pharmacy the other day and I saw coconut chips on the counter, they weren’t cheap (about $4 is memory is correct) but having never tried them before and having the personality where money burns a hole in my pocket and must must be spent I grabbed a bag.

oh how I wish I grabbed more than 1 bag 😥 biggest regret lol

Oh my sweet amazing crunchy delicious new love

I don’t know about other brands, as I said this is the only brand i’ve ever tried. But WOW these things are amazing. The packet did not have enough though as after I finished the last crunchy delicious morsel I was begging for more and getting each tiny crumb from the bottom corners to prolong the snacking delight.

Check them babies out. Crunchy, sweet and simply divine

The next time I see these babies i’m stocking up. I’ll have to be sneaky and hide the purchase from my husband though or he’ll likely have a heart attack at the price hehe

Are you in love with coconut as much as I am?
